Another reason to feel proud for Indians, as an 18 year old Indian girl Zareen Cheema is selected for Antarctica Expedition among 65 students worldwide. Zareen Cheema has been granted a visa by the consulate general of Argentina to go Expedition to Antarctica as a part of “Students on Ice” Expedition 2014. Zareen was selected among the Top 65 students all over the world and she is the only Indian to go Antarctica under the Students on Ice Expedtion.
Students on Ice is a ship based expedition to Antarctica that gathers the high school and university students from different countries and meet up with 23 inspiring Scientists, CEOs, Polar Experts, Educators, Artists, Musicians and Innovators from all over the world.
Basically, this expedition is a project to educate studentson various effects of climate change. Moreover, the public relations officer also said to consulate general of Argentina that at present all the students are on their way back to home countries..
Zareen Cheema selected Mars One Mission :
Another reason that displays the talent of this Indian girl is that Zareen Cheema is the youngest candidate who is selected for Mars One Mission. She is youngest candidate among 705 candidates who is selected for the one-way manned mission to Mars.
