Well do you know how the phone work !!!  Wait i’ll tell you. From the Braille phone, Texts and Messages will be sent as a regular messages. However, on the screen the phone comes with Depressions instead of Smooth Glass panel.  The innovative ‘touch-screen’ elevates and depresses contents into touchable patterns which can then be deciphered by the blind.

The screen will help in elevating and depressing the contents that forms Patterns in Braille. Basically this smartphone is using Shape Memory Alloy Technology to sport grid of pins which will move up and down as required. And this grid will be having a Braille Display where these pins will come up with a letter or a character.

Sumit Dagar will be collaborating with IIT Delhi on making its prototype which is currently in its testing phase.
